This Privacy Policy covers the data collection practices of joydemy llc (“joydemy,” “we,” “us”) and describes your rights to access, correct, or restrict our use of your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies when you visit or use the joydemy website or access its print or electronic materials in any other way (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Account data

When you create a user account, we collect and store the data you provide, such as your email address and password.

Profile data

You may choose to provide profile information such as a photo, screen name, and other data. Your profile data information can be publicly viewable by other users.

Course data

When you take a course, we collect comments, questions, images, videos, and other information that you upload.

Purchase data

If you make purchases, we collect certain data about your purchase (such as your name and zip code) as necessary to process your order. You must provide certain payment and billing data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, credit card information, billing address, and zip code. For security, joydemy does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card numbers or card authentication data.

Communications and support data

If you sign up for marketing emails or contact us for support, information you provide will be stored and used in our communications with you. Polling data will be used for business planning and marketing.

Through our website's scripts, server logs, and third parties such as Google Analytics (as described in our Cookie Policy), we collect data by automated means.

We and our service providers store and process your data on computer equipment such as servers owned by our service providers. This equipment is located around the world. We do not give, sell, rent, share, or otherwise provide your data to other organizations for marketing purposes.

• Instructors and subject matter experts.
• Other students, in the case of data you have elected to make publicly visible.
• Service providers and contractors, such as payment processors, email services, and web hosting services.
• Social media companies, in order to implement social media features in the Services (like a Facebook Like button). Using these features may allow the third-party social media provider to collect things like your IP address and which page of the Services you’re visiting, and to set a cookie to enable the feature. Your interactions with these features are governed by the third-party company’s privacy policy.
• Parties participating in a change in control. If joydemy undergoes a business transaction like a merger, acquisition, corporate divestiture, or dissolution (including bankruptcy), or a sale of all or some of its assets, we may share, disclose, or transfer all of your data to the successor organization during such transition or in contemplation of a transition (including during due diligence).
• Google Analytics, which collects visitor data on our behalf.
• Google reCAPTCHA v2 and/or v3 is used to fight spam and abuse on the website. The use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

We take appropriate security based on the type of data being stored. As with any internet-enabled system, there is always a risk of unauthorized access. No system can be 100% secured, so we cannot guarantee that communications between us, the Services, or any information provided to us in connection with the data we collect through the Services will be free from unauthorized access by third parties.

Parents who believe that we may have collected personal data from a child under age 16 can submit a request that it be removed to support@joydemy.com.

When we make a material change to this policy, we’ll notify users via email, in-product notice, or another mechanism required by law. Changes become effective the day they’re posted. As permitted by applicable law, if you continue to use the Services after the effective date of any change, then your access and/or use will be deemed an acceptance of (and agreement to follow and be bound by) the revised Privacy Policy.
